2008 PSSF Screening Time

The Assasstant will screen on Friday, August 22nd at 1pm in the air-conditioned Camelot Theaters in Palm Springs. We are part of the Working Stiffs program. Funny. Come if you can- Palm Springs is real cheap in the summer and I'll be there all week (August 21-27) promoting the film but really writing my ass off between beers and maybe a $19.99 round of noon day golf in the desert heat.

The Assastant at the 2008 Palm Springs Shorts Fest

We've gotten into our first film festival- the 2008 Palm Springs ShortsFest. For those of you who don't know this is one of the best short festivals in the United States so we can all be proud of that. So if you live in the Palm Springs area come on out and check out the film.

The Assastant Wins Some Things

The Assastant won the Twentieth Century Fox/Farrelly Brothers Outstanding Achievement in Comedy Award and the Student Choice Award for Best Writing at the 2008 Columbia University Film Festival.

This is exciting news and I am pretty psyched. I'm going to start submitting to festivals in the weeks ahead and will let you know in the months ahead how things are going.

Credit(s) for The Assastant

I just want to give credit where credit is due. The credits below and everyone or everyone I can think of who contributed to this film and helped me "git her done'. I could not have done it without the people below.

The Assastant Selected as a Preliminary Finalist for the Student Academy Awards

Hey! So we are an East Regional Finalist for the Student Academy Awards. There is a screening at the Academy Theater in Manahattan on April 24th to determine which three of the eight selected films move on to the Final Round in Los Angeles. It's sort of like American Idol. Start lobbying your Academy voters! Someone call the Miramax marketing department! Actually that's very 90s, someone call the Paramount Vantage marketing department!

The Assastant to Screen at the 21st Columbia Film Festival

The Assastant will screen as part of the 21st Columbia University Film Festival. We are a part of Program F on Wednesday, April 30th at 8pm. We are smack in the middle of the program- 3 films before us, 3 films after us.

Buy your tickets at the link below (I hear they are selling fast but that might be a marketing ploy):
https://www.movietickets.com/purchase.asp?perf_id=552191171

I will also be selling some tickets I have purchased for way above face value so I can make some money back on the film. Okay, that's a joke unless anybody does contact me and then it's real, very real.

The Assastant Blog
